I just assumed it would come naturally
Before I had Miss K, when I thought about babies - which was rarely- the thoughts that would come into my mind would be pretty clothes, graceful breast feeding (this is the hide your boob type of graceful), avent bottles and cute booties. I had these pretty thoughts till the day I gave birth. I had never really thought about the process of the baby getting here and the process of breast feeding, in my mind I thought it would just happen, like mother nature intended. I had read magazines and books before Miss K came but when it came to being informed I was not really up to scratch on the whole motherly thing. I breast fed because I was told to, I had a natural birth because my doctor had said its my 1st baby I can try natural birth. I just assumed it would come naturally. The magazines all spoke about how good breast feeding is for the baby and how nipple cream can fix all your cracked and sore nipples. I wish I had read about sore the 1st couple of days/weeks are and how sore a blocked milk duct can be.
